Mom, I’m Hungry!

Food installation / collaborative project

The installation Mom, I’m Hungry! was situated in the Alkovi Gallery, a project space on a former shop window. Next door to the gallery is a food bank, which was on vacation during the exhibition. The piece was a commentary on the increasing poverty of children in Finland. Food was collected from voluntary donors, stored in the window for four weeks and given away to families with children who needed help.

A second part of the project was be realized in the Sanoma House Media Piazza, in collaboration with the Common Responsibility Campaign. For more information visit the project’s blog (0nly in Finnish).
