Video loop (approx. 14 min)

Collaboration with Amélie Deschamps

Six Georgian LGTB rights activists share their experiences about a silent demonstration against homophobia in Tbilisi in May 2013 while cooking khingali, traditional Georgian dumplings, for the first time. Their small, peaceful march was attacked by tens of thousands of counter-demonstrators, organized by the priests of the Orthodox church of Georgia, chasing them in the streets trying to beat them up.

The duration of the loop is 14:33, and in this time the same story is told twice, slightly varied.

Identoba is Georgian for “identity” and is also the name of one of the NGO’s behind the march.
